More Mignola 1980s art

This Punisher sketch, probably from around 1987, gives us a hint of Mignola's art to come.

But this piece, from 1983, really gives us a Mignola who's exploring, finding himself. His art is still clean and smooth, but seems softer and more fluid.

  1. I really liked Rocket Raccoon at the time, loved the art work too. I wonder if the story still stands up though, was it ever collected?

  2. Hey Dean, it was collected as a Marvel Premiere Edition:

    1. Cheers, done a quick search and it's as rare as hen's teeth over here. I'll have to keep a look out at the next comic-mart, even if the story's not up to much it'll be nice to check out the art.
